Site's down for a bit - an Islamic fundamentalist hacked into it and changed the passwords and stuff.

No, really. That's what happened. It'll be back soon like, once I persuade our lovely new web hosts that I do actually own this domain.

We're going to get a brand-spanking new web site, but for now, regular update will appear on our Twitter feed on the right here. The links below the Twitter feed don't actually work - great hey?

For web orders in the near future, visit our discogs page - I'm the seller darrenh. If you order an item via me, I'll send you the PayPal invoice for the actually website price rather than the (slightly inflated with Discogs fees) price.

NEWS

Coming soon! The Mushi Mushi album Sequins Saves Lives! Anyone who has read our previous scribings will know the crack by now, although we're going to remind you anyway, cos we're persistent like that. It's 13 morsels of prime whoomp, all lo-fi cranks and cronks, clocking in at just over half-an-hour of utter popnoise brilliance (we're proud of that sentence, so you'll be reading that a lot, like). Those of you that picked up their Chicken EP a while back (we still have copies left of that, by the way) or caught their live shows will know exactly how special this release will be, so visit the Chicken EP page, download a few mp3s so that you have an idea as to what to expect, and fire six pounds ninety-nine our way if you likey. The dudes at The Sound Projector certainly likeyed (er. . .) it anyway: "13 fine indiepop songs performed with remarkable expertise and minimal crispness by a Tyneside quartet of young alt-disco fanatics." The album's available for despatch now via the website and in Newcastle (RPM, Beatdown and alt.vinyl), and everywhere else worldwide on March 29th. Skill!

Next on the agenda is (are?) Warm Digits. Their semi-improvised kraut-wave (erk) radiophonic snowstormed live sets have been garnering the plaudits from many a discerning eye and ear over the past year and a bit, and we're tickled crimson to release their album later on this year, so look out for that. They were recently in session for Marc Riley's 6music show and we'll have an upload link soon.

And on April 27th! We're releasing Tempelhof's Leaving Home / Cage twelve-incher, and what a beautiful piece of work it is, both visually (handpainted vinyls here kidda, looks well lush) and audibly (all intricate beats with dreamy downtempo drawn-out whispers, oooooh, it's lovely). You will be able to hear the tracks soon on our myspace player (or Facebook player, once we figure out how to use one), and we'll be lobbing up photos of the vinyls themselves soon (oh, go on then, here's a taster). We're selling them online NOW before their April 26th release, so act quick: there's only 250 of them. To support this they'll be having a bit of a tour in early-May: three dates confirmed so far are at The Barrels Alehouse in Berwick on 5th May with Conquering Animal Sound and Roy's Iron DNA (tbc); and The Royal Park Cellars in Leeds on 6th May alongside Jasmina Maschina and Tomorrow We Sail, and Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 7th May at the Morden Tower. If anybody else in the UK is interested in putting them on, give us a shout. Also! We've got a brand-new, hot off the press video for Fatal Familiar Insomnia off their We Were Not There for the Beginning, We Won't Be There for the End album. Nuff skills and credit go to Giulia Rizzini and the mysterious Sorry Boy for this one. He may look like Barry Shitpeas, but I don't think it is.

Onto Necro Deathmort, and their This Beat Is Necrotronic magnum opus. After an admittedly slow start, we've been spaffing these out of the door ever since Xmas, with Aquarius Records ("This sh*t is amazing. . ."January is in no way too soon to start picking records for your best of 2010 list, just so you know"), Crucial Blast ("Describing this stunning album as doom-infected dubstep or blackened apocalyptic dub only gives part of the picture; Necro Deathmort actually create something much more, an immense and crushing world of black sound that ultimately doesn't sound like anyone else."), Roadburn/Cyclic Defrost ("easily one of the most fresh takes on the leftfield hiphop and metal genres I've heard in a long time"), Terrorizer ("A work of pure schizoid genius.") and Splice Today ("a really, exciting, weird take on doom by electronica folks") all gushing over the blessed thing. We're now down to our last 40 or 50 or so out of 500, so if you want one from us, order soon because at this rate we won't have any left in March.

That's it. Mind how you go.
